History of HCM

Highlands began on October 1, 2000. We held our first services in the home of John & Sue Brown, in Stratford. We then moved to the Arden Park Hotel on Ontario Street and, later, to King Lear School. Then we were able to rent space at 615 Erie St. and make it our home for a season. After that we rented some rooms at the Falstaff Family Center and then we were able to purchase the former Centennial United Church at 113 West Gore Street, then 104 Wellington Street and now we have entered a time of setting sail and crossing over into Father.

In Ephesians 4:10-12, it outlines the basis of raising up the five fold ministries of Christ - first Apostles, then Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. Psalm 18:33-34 says "He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and sets me upon my high places. He trains my hands for battle, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze." Highlands' goal is to foster an environment where God takes His people to their individual High Place in Christ.
